Toyota Prius is one of the names which became known in almost every corner of the world. Many people heard about this Eco friendly vehicle. The first hybrid in these series appeared on the market during 2004.
The fourth generation was built on the next few arrangements:
1. Fuel efficiency.
2. Driving dynamics.
3. Better styling.
The 2018 will surely see the redesigned version of this car.
New generation – new opportunities
The new version is created to show more possibilities in designing new appearance. Now the main base comes with alloy wheels of 15-inch size. This choice can be called pretty conservative. There are new headlights up in front. This time they look sharper, more angular.
Taillights are at the back of the Prius. They are now using LED technologies. They look more polarizing, as some buyers say. And they are right in this respect. The design was taken from Toyota`s other model – Mirai. This car uses hydrogen.
Quality and materials used inside
Compared to the old generations, the new has improved materials and build quality. There is some hard touch plastic combined with soft tough materials and an expensive feeling. The design of the wheels draws attention to itself almost immediately. The buttons are surrounded by the high gloss black trim. The seats also got some additional support for improving driving and sitting experience.
The model also comes with automatic climate control. The new touchscreen is a great addition for the infotainment system. The navigation system could be called pretty sensitive.
There is also some information about the engine.
1. It will be a 1.8 liter engine inline-4 DOHC Atkinson.
2. This engine is capable of giving 95 horsepower. And there is also 105 pound feet of torque.
3. There will be one more variant for buyers. It is the synchronous AC electric motor with 120 liters of torque and 71 horses.
The last, but not the least – is a combination of these engines, giving 121 horsepower and having a pack of batteries within.
