2018 Skoda Yeti Review, Price, Specs
When it was announced that the Skoda Yeti would feature a different style in its 2018 model, fans of the original series may have been sceptical, but the model promises a whole new entry for the car manufacturing company. The 2018 model will feature a more traditional SUV design, perhaps making it a more family-friendly car.
The new model’s body will be built according to more traditional “baby” SUV design styles, which usually means some or all of these features: raised height, strong shoulder line, a slightly chunkier body, and a high bonnet.
The new Yeti will feature a sleeker look, including a more prominent grille, clamshell bonnet and slim LED headlights, sloping rear rooflines and a taller appearance.
2018 Skoda Yeti Interior Design
The inside of the Yeti goes back to basics, prioritizing comfort without sacrificing style and elegance. Boasting great ergonomics, having soft to touch controls and a comfortable seat.
Going for a classic feel, the model has added the latest, but easily accessible and user-friendly, sat-nav, stereo and driver assistance system. The standard model features a 6.5-inch touchscreen while the more expensive models can have up to a 9.2-inch screen. The basic system comes equipped with a slot for an SD memory card, a USB port, an aux cable socket and two power sockets in the dashboard and boot.
For car that looks compact on the outside, the interior of the Yeti is a pleasant surprise. The spacious car offers 521 litres of luggage capacity, which can be expanded to 1630 litres when the rear seats are folded back! But wait – there’s more (literally!)
That’s where it gets interesting: the three rear seats in the Yeti not only fold back, they can also be removed individually, increasing the capacity to more than 1800 litres. Some of the models also allow you to fold the front passenger seat, allowing more space for loading and unloading luggage for long road trips.
Here are some other perks that you can enjoy with this model:
- Tray table with cup holders in the rear
- Comfy seats
- Add-ons available for the trunk
- standard safety features, andfront, side and curtain airbags
- on-board electronic diagnostics that can that can tell when it’s time to get service
Generally, the engine of the 2018 SUV-style car will have the following features:
- 5 different turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, offering 85kW to 140kW of power output
- Engine sizes that range from 1-2 litres
- A choice to customize the power according to your needs
