2018 Aston Martin Vantage Review
This sports car has been a favorite of sports car fanatics ever since its launch in 2005. And now with the revamped 2018 version of the Aston Martin Vantage, the engine is much better, and the transmission is also improved. This new version is much attractive, great in shape, quite sharp by looks and also great in performance. This year a new lime color is added to the car series.
The car is powered by an AMG twin turbo V8 engine of 4 liters, and has a torque of 685 Nm, and standard 510ps. The car has eight speeds. The engine is powerful. It takes mere 3.5 seconds to accelerate to 60 mph from 0. The maximum speed you would get from the Vantage is 195 mph or 314 km/h. The car weighs 1530 kg. Both DB11 and this Vantage engine are similar but the Vantage has the advantage of 7lb ft more torque when you rev it.
The car is a two seater as conventional sports cars are. The seats are roomy enough, and give you plenty of room to snuggle or stretch as you like. The overall appearance is nice. The seats are typically sports style designed with the Alcantara trim and leather finish. You would find a navigation screen of 8 inches and a central touchpad, and a dual climate overview and control unit. The interior can be customized to traditional styles too with colored seal belts headrests with embroidery etc.
The exterior looks sleek, stylish, and attractive with a silver grey finish. The car is a little noisy at times, and you would listen to a gnashing sound coming out of it when it accelerates. The front face of the car may look like an angry face to due to the style, you when you have that imaginative mind and vision.
The main improvements in the new 2018 Aston Martin Vantage are the 20kg lighter chassis and the increased rigidity upto 30% more than earlier. It’s also 10% more rigid than the DB11. Though the hardware of both the DB11 and the Vantage are the same, yet the steering ratio is higher in Vantage because of 100mm decreased wheelbase in comparison.
